A New Beginning

Welcome to the new Peak Educational Resources Blog, supporting parents and teachers of high ability students.

Over the years, I have accumulated a wealth of information and resources by

• writing Prufrock’s Gifted Child Information Blog for 6 ½ years,
• authoring, Raising a Gifted Child: A Parenting Success Handbook,
• editing Understanding Our Gifted for more than 10 years,
• working for decades as a classroom teacher and gifted education specialist, and
• being a parent.

I plan to share much of this information with you. Topics I cover will be helpful to both parents and teachers and will include resources for specific academic subjects, the arts, social/emotional issues, passions, educational options, mentorships, universal themes, academic competitions, creativity, and online learning.

My aim is to bring you the best of the best resources available for capable young people.
